RandomSpice is the electronic music project of Sydney-Based producer Ben Tippett. Utilising a mix of analog synthesisers and a modular system, RandomSpice goes beyond conventional EDM structures to create an energetic and deliberate sound stage that balances precision and unpredictability.

Drawing inspiration from electronic music giants such as ‘Daft Punk’ and ‘Justice’, alongside modular masters like ‘Colin Benders’, the project blends rhythmic patterns and groove with experimental sound design into a unique high energy sound.

In a live setting, RandomSpice bridges digital control with analog fidelity. The power of DAW automation and clocking is used to synchronise sequencers, synthesisers and external elements, whilst sonics are crafted with hardware. Through embracing analog equipment on stage, each performance carries an inherent element of risk, an intentional choice that ensures no two shows are identical. For RandomSpice, the risk is essential, transforming electronic music from pre-set programmed sequences into a living musical experience.
